Write off Your Mortgage & Utilities!

A home office is a great way to turn personal expenses into business deductions!

Of course, as with everything with the IRS, you must make sure you meet certain requirements. So you must make sure you follow the IRS rules to get the full deduction.

Not only are you are able to write off a portion of your rent, mortgage, electricity bills, gas bills, you can also write off a portion of the cost of your home!

In addition, you can write off the money you spend to furnish and decorate your office. That includes desks, chairs, bookcases, plants, wallpaper, paint, etc.

The rules for claiming the deduction are different for employees than business owners. You just have to make sure you are following all the rules in order to keep Uncle Sam off your back and decrease your taxes as much as possible.

Be sure to check out chapter 7 of my ebook “Home Offices” in order to make sure you are following all the rules and getting the maximum deduction possible.
